Our Story
WB Realty Co. was founded in 2010, but its origins can be traced back to a partnership formed in 2001 by Ryan Wiederstein and Jesse Burr. Driven by a shared passion for home renovation, they successfully completed over 100 transactions, demonstrating unwavering determination even during the challenging times of the Great Recession. As economic conditions gradually improved, Ryan chose a new path, departing from a thriving career to create WB Realty Co. What started as a residential brokerage quickly evolved to a comprehensive range of services, including commercial real estate, property management, and development. At WB Realty Co., we are rooted by innovation, expertise, and client relationships. Our journey is a testament to our dedication and the enduring impact we strive to create.

Ryan Wiederstein is the owner and broker of WB Realty Co., bringing over 22 years of real estate experience. He founded WB Realty Co. in 2015, and since then, Ryan has overseen the development of many successful residential and commercial projects. Ryan consistently delivers quality property management services to investors and partners, while taking great pride in his service standards for both commercial and residential clients. Ryan's commitment isn't limited to real estate alone—he is also an active participant in Iowa's agriculture programs, further exemplifying his dedication to rural Iowa's future through his engagement in ranching and farming activities.

Brittany Freund is the Senior Vice President of Commercial Real Estate at WB Realty Co, boasting over 12 years of experience and 300+ transactions including office, industrial, flex, retail, and land deals. Brittany earned her CCIM designation in 2017 and secured the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association Deal of the Year Under $5 Million award in 2018. Her leadership shines through as the 2021 Co-Chair of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Expo and the 2022 President of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association. Notably, Brittany is also a distinguished honoree of the Business Record Forty Under 40 and is a current board member for Dorothy’s House.

Dan Carlson

Dan Carlson is the Director of Operations at WB Realty Co., where he provides invaluable leadership and strategic oversight. With a bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from Iowa State University, Dan brings a strong foundation in real estate to his role, stemming from his time in the construction industry. He oversees the strategic planning and execution of WB Realty Co.’s operations, focusing on optimizing processes, policies, and procedures to drive growth and expand the WB Realty brand. Dan collaborates closely with our commercial brokers, guiding clients through tenant improvements or build-to-suit opportunities, and providing valuable insight during sale and lease negotiations. He also oversees all property acquisitions and development projects, including financial analysis and cash flow projections. In addition, Dan currently acts as the Property Manager for WB Realty Co.’s commercial properties. He holds an Iowa real estate salesperson license and is an active member of the Iowa Commercial Real Estate Association.

Following WB Realty's acquisition of the building, Brett seamlessly transitioned to managing it under WB Realty's ownership, along with other WB Realty commercial properties. With over 15 years of family farm background in Iowa, Brett's deep-rooted ties to the community reflect his commitment to excellence in property management and maintenance.

Anna brings practical real estate industry experience to the legal field, having started as a licensed real estate salesperson before becoming a licensed attorney. Her background is in contract negotiation, landlord and tenant matters, commercial development, municipality law, and full-scope real estate transactions. Anna earned her J.D. and M.B.A. from Drake University and worked in real estate law and contract work at medium to large law firms for seven years before joining WB Realty. As an attorney for WB Realty, Anna provides the contract drafting and negotiation skills to allow for smart and secure tenant partnerships, new growth and development projects, and management of legal transactions. Anna stays abreast of the industry standards and trends, as well as legal and risk environment changes and precedent to ensure a top-of-the-line legal product in every deal. Anna holds her law license in the State of Iowa and is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association. She serves her community on her local City Council and on a variety of local non-profit boards and commissions.
